New Converts Class

In an every changing world, most people put their trust in false gods. But as children of God we must put our trust in God!  The world at every opportunity tests our faith by questioning why God allows people to die, or get killed etc.. Some even say God is just a myth or there is no God and as long as I do good things I can go to heaven without this Jesus.

But we must know that Jesus Chris and His sacrificial death on the cross, is the central and most important fundamental, basic tenet of the Christian faith.  Jesus Christ is God’s only plan of eternal salvation for the entire world.

Therefore it is critical that in this very hour that all those who choose to give their life to the Lord be taught about the need of salvation and how to defend the gospel.  The Bible says that we are appointed for the defense of the gospel.  It is our job, when called upon, to defend God and Jesus on the basics of our salvation: “…knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.” (Philippians 1:17) another supporting scripture is; “…always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you…” (1 Peter 3:15)

Vision: As a new convert and member of Light and Life Ministries, it is critical that they are knowledgeable of the vision of the ministry.  So one of the main things that would be shared is how the Light of Life was birthed through scripture taken from St. John 8:12 and what to understand the type of ministry that God has called us to; a ministry of reconciliation, 2 Corinthians 5:18 and what we have been declaring since the millennium, Ephesians 3:20-21.

Mission: To have equipped disciples who are un-wavered in their salvation.  Knowing who their Lord and Saviour is, knowing who they are in Christ and knowing their purpose in this world.

Foundation: Within the teaching of the “New Converts Class” (still open to all) attention will be on  What is Salvation?; The Bible; Building a Personal Relationship with God; The Ministry of the Jesus and the Holy Spirit; What is Atonement, Justification and Regeneration?; Our service to the Lord.  Among other topics that will be highlighted (if the need arises).
